After Spotify and Apple Music, it’s Deezer’s turn to unveil their platform for artists. You’re probably wondering how to create your Deezer Backstage account, how to use it and why? We’re going to answer these questions now… Let’s dive right in.
Request access to Deezer Backstage. Select your “Role” (eg. Artist, manager or label). It will ask for your UPC, which can be found in the Amuse app if you tap on your release. Make sure to remove the leading 0 from your UPC, then it will be recognised by Deezer's system. Already have a Deezer account? Facebook Google. 8 characters min. A strong password should be unique, containing 8 characters minimum, with a combination of: - 8 characters min. Numbers - Uppercase letters - Lowercase letters - Special characters. The app is open to any artists and managers who have at least one track on Deezer. How do I sign in? If you're an existing Backstage user, simply sign in with your artist credentials. Discover Deezer Backstage, a platform designed to bring artists and music professionals closer to their audience. The tool allows you to investigate and appreciate your streams from behind the scenes. Accessing your Backstage account is easy, just go to Deezer Backstage and click on the red button “Request Access”. What will you listen to today? Log in to your Deezer account to access more than 73 million tracks.
How do I sign up?
To create your account, you’ll need to request access by going to the website https://backstage.deezer.com/user/login and clicking the dedicated button. After that, you can select your role.
As an artist, you’ll have to fill in:
- Your artist name
- Your email address
- One of your UPC codes (that you first get when you create a release)
- Your label if you have one
- Your distributor aka Spinnup
- Your distributor email (support@spinnup.com)
You can then add your socials if you like.
If you’re a manager, you’ll only be asked for your name, the artists you manage, your email et the distributor’s email.
When you’re granted access, Deezer will contact you to let you know and you’ll be able to use Deezer Backstage.
What is Deezer Backstage for?
Even though it’s a very recent addition to Deezer, it’s a useful tool for any artist or manager who wants to check their stats or edit their artist profile. It used to be such a hassle to get your artist profile looking great before Deezer Backstage. Changes had to be made by the Deezer support team directly. Things are way easier now and we’re not complaining!
What can I edit on my profile?

- Social media links
- Your touring info
- Playlists you’ve created

Check your stats
Deezer Backstage allows you to better understand your audience by giving you access to stats on your streams, the number of people who listen to your music and about the playlists your tracks feature in. These stats will help you understand through which playlists you get the most streams, what track is doing better and when.

Method 2: Creating account using Facebook or Google credentials

Step 2: Enter the login details of Facebook or Google and sign up to create the Deezer account.
Step 3: Deezer will display a set of instructions to link the account to your Facebook or Google credentials. Complete them to set up the Deezer account.
Method 3: Creating the account to use it with a mobile provider
Step 1: Visit the Deezer home page and navigate to the sign-up page using any web browser.
Step 2: From the same page, search for mobile provider logos that appear on the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Deezer will now provide a set of instructions to register the mobile number. You will complete the process after you enter your phone number and verify the same. Once done, Deezer will set up your account, which you can use to listen to music from any device and any place.
Part 2. Top 5 Problems that may Arise When People Login or Sign up with Deezer [Solutions included]
Problem 1: Unavailability
Deezer is not currently available in many countries. If you wish to sign up with Deezer, then you have to first search whether the services are available in your residing country. If there are no services, then you will see the following message.

Solution: You can solve this issue by logging out of AirStudio+ app, log out from Deezer account, and restart the iPhone. You can then login again to Deezer account and listen to music.
Problem 5: Unable to Access Deezer Using a Browser
Solution: It is important to keep the browser updated and use latest flash players. You can further clear the cache in the memory. Check with a different browser. If the problem continues, then check whether the firewall or install anti-virus is blocking the access.
